Dr. Hongsong Chou, founder of ECC Info and chief instructor for “Dr. Chou’s Boot Camp”, gave the keynote speech at the London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG)’s “Quantitative Investments in “Fixed Income, Currency and Commodity Areas” conference and their “Quantitative Trading Strategy Contest” award ceremony on August 7, 2025, in Beijing, China.
Dr. Chou’s speech (in Mandarin Chinese) was titled “Challenges and Opportunities of Quantitative Investment and Trading in the Era of AI”. With a global view on the industry landscape and the advancements of AI technologies, Dr. Chou presented his views on the current status of utilizing AI (machine learning, deep learning and generative AI) in the industry, relevant frontier research developments on AI in quantitative investments, and the evolution of the finance industry broadly and the quantitative investment/trading practice specifically in the next decade or so under the influence of AI revolution.
